YOUNG PROFESSIONALS

Shaping the Next Generation of Global Leaders and Innovators

Young people today are the leaders of tomorrow. Young people today will account for 75% of the workforce in 2025. Young people aim to make the world more compassionate, innovative and sustainable. At the same time, most entry level jobs today will not give them the tools and technical know-how to uncover their leadership style to define their own our success.

CREATING LEADERS OF TOMORROW

Through immersive programs and industry projects, we empower young professionals to express their creative thinking and ‘raison d’etre’ as future professionals and cultivate a leadership style that is unique to their personal strengths.

BREAK THROUGH FEAR

To kick-start their journey, we will examine their beliefs that may be holding them back, preventing them from taking action and delaying them from becoming their best self. Young professionals will learn to reframe the meaning and emotions they attribute to their beliefs. Through advanced Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), they will clarify their thinking and develop a roadmap to achieve their personal and professional goals.

FIND PASSION & PURPOSE

As future professionals, we know that young people have a purpose broader than just making money. We work with them to identify what ‘makes them tick’ – what gives them that drive to grow, to contribute and to achieve the unimaginable.

RE-FRAME IDENTITY

Our social and ethnic roots, gender and sexual orientation, and our life experiences to date all combine to shape our sense of identity. Young professionals will learn how to re-frame experiences of adversity as sources of power and strength, and how to combine the ‘ingredients’ of their life into a compelling story. Ultimately, they will learn to develop their personal brand in a way that is authentic and unique to them and then get the chance to share that through projects delivered through the Academy's platform.

CULTIVATE PERSONAL PRESENCE

Young professionals will explore personal presence and how it can impact their leadership behavior. We help them to deconstruct how they self-regulate, assess situations and make judgments about others. We teach strategies to more skillfully manage energy, emotions and negative self-talk. They will learn to cultivate space for communication and collaboration that is rooted in greater personal accountability and conscious choices.

BUILD THE TRUST EQUATION

Trust is at the foundation of all successful teams. Effective leaders generate innovation by embracing new perspectives and encouraging team members to respectfully challenge one another’s assumptions and unconscious biases. We teach techniques for how to consciously enable trust within teams, explore trust gaps and practice positive, trust-building behaviors based on real-life topics. With these skills, Young professionals will be equipped to lead a culture of trust that promotes embracing differences and bring out the unique gifts of all team members.

COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY

This component of the program addresses the masks we wear at work, and how to find the closest fit with our true selves. We will slow things down to enable to override the autopilot that can govern communication. By practicing active listening, the act of asking powerful questions, asserting their perspective, giving feedback and by being aware of nonverbal communication cues, they will learn to engage, influence and more effectively communicate with varying audiences with impact.

FOSTER A CREATIVE MINDSET

Ceding control, being okay with uncertainty and developing the muscle to push into the unknown are essential in today’s marketplace. This component of the program will draw heavily on the principles of improvisation. Through improvised role playing we will teach how to be resilient, and to perform under pressure of constantly changing circumstances.

DEFINE A CONSCIOUS CULTURE

We explore how Young professionals can take ownership of the workplace’s culture in a way that expresses their individual leadership style. They will explore dominant narratives that exist in company cultures and how they influence their own perceptions and the roles they play in contributing to those narratives. We then work closely with them to develop new narratives around company's culture and position them to consciously contribute to it.
